A Stripper’s Locker!

There’s usually not enough lockers for everyone. Dancers that have worked at that club for a while have the majority of them. They also fill up with stuff that past strippers leave behind. It really depends if the club keeps track of the lockers or not. I finally got my first locker last week! The club I’m currently working at doesn’t keep track of them, so we can take any empty ones that we find.

So pack your bag, suitcase or locker… whatever you need for your shift. Strippers pack their suitcase full of accessories and goodies to be prepared at all times.

But what’s in it? What do you really need to bring to work as a stripper?

T Bars

You’ll need multiple T-Bars. These are stripper thongs that you can buy online or in your local sex shop/lingerie store. They’re tight g-strings that don’t move around so that you stay covered. They have tons of different colors and cuts, so you can be cute and match your outfits.

Some dancers double them up if your cookie tends to fall out. Surprisingly, mine usually stays put…for the most part.

Advice: Start waxing!

If you rock the natural look, keep doing you boo. You got my support.

I schedule a Brazilian every three weeks… booty strips included. It definitely hurts the first time, but after that you’ll be fine! If waxing is not your thing, I suggest staying consistent with shaving at least your bikini line.

Shoes

Pleasers is the number one heel brand for stripper shoes. The most common height dancers wear is 8 inches. If you’re a little taller or a beginner, some wear 6 or 7 inch heels. The stilettos are the lightest shoes to wear, and the boots are the heaviest. They sell them in retail stores (expensive) and online! Amazon is also amazing, but my studio has wholesale with this brand and you can buy any shoes on the website discounted at 25% off! Just text us and we can help you!

Make sure to bring an extra pair of heels with you! Your shoes can rip at any time or break somehow. You’ll want to throw on your extra pair and keep making money!

Embarrassing moment: I was on stage and got too excited. I tried to smack my heels on the floor to make a cool sound during some leg wave action, and my shoe accidentally hit a glass table top that was against the stage. My shoe broke off and the glass shattered. I continued my stage set with no shoes and the manager had to clean up all the glass. I didn’t have another pair of shoes, but I was able to rent some from the house mom. Thank God she had my size.

Advice: Wear comfortable shoes when you go to work, then change into your heels in the locker room. I always wear slides, flip flops, moccasins and even some fuzzy socks when I go to work, so I can change into them after I get off. Your feet are going to hurt really bad after work, so treat them right with some comfy socks and shoes.

Don’t forget to keep up with your pedicures as well! I can’t tell you how many people have looked at my feet or touched them…. yes it happens. It is also just part of my self care routine. If you go through the phase of half peeled nail polish, boots are always a good way to hide it. This does increase my money when I look and feel my best. Your toes are at the same height as your customers face when you’re on stage.. so they see it.

Outfits

You’ll want to change your outfits a few times throughout the night, so come prepared. Pack tons of outfits! I suggest a few two pieces, some one pieces and some dresses. You don’t know for sure how you will feel halfway through your shift. I honestly hate two pieces. I love my teddies and one piece outfits. Sometimes I even get away with one piece swimsuits, but I don’t know what I will want to wear so I bring it all.

Anything could happen during your shift such as rips, stains, drinks spills or even sweat marks, so you’ll want to change. Bring options!

Advice: Bring a comfy outfit to go home in! I always bring a pair of comfortable sweatpants and a PJ top or hoodie. I never wear a bra home either. I recommend anything that is extremely comfortable. Your body is going to hurt and ache, so treat it right!

Hair supplies

Pack your hair accessories as if you’re going on a trip! You’ll need some hair ties, a brush, any wigs, tools (curler, straightener) and any hair products you’ll need throughout your shift. This will definitely vary depending on your hair type and style, but bring your products.

Customers love to ruin your hair by putting their nasty clammy hands in it! You will need to fix it every few hours if it starts looking like a mess.

Toiletries

Pack like you’re going to a sleepover somewhere or a night out. You’ll need deodorant, gum or mints, lotion, perfume, makeup remover wipes, tampons or period supplies… just in case!

Advice: Put your perfume on your neck, wrists and bikini line. Get some scented lotion as well. Try to not put a lot of lotion on for stage purposes! If you put it on, stay off the pole as much as possible and wash your hands after applying. I really suggest just putting a little lotion on your chest so you smell good during lap dances.

Other items to throw in the bag!

Grip: The most popular pole grip in the clubs is dry hands. You can wash it off easily when you get done with your stage set. Other grips like firm grip are very hard to get off and make your body sticky. It’s not comfortable to walk around with and your customers are gonna question why your legs are all sticky. Might as well stick with dry hands!

Water and snacks: Once you start dancing, you’ll get very dehydrated and hot. Sometimes the bar gets really full and you won’t have quick access to water. Try to bring a water bottle or two with you!

Snacks are essential. You have hours and hours of work to get through. You’ll need something to eat. I keep snacks in the car or in my bag for the drive home. If you drive far and/or you’re tired because it’s really late, chewing your snacks can keep you awake until you get home safely!

Phone charger: Please remember to bring a phone charger or even a portable charger. When it’s boring, you will probably be on your phone for a while and you can run that battery. It’s late at night and you need to go through a strip club parking lot to get to your car. Make sure you leave with your phone charged, especially if you need to stop by the gas station on the way home at all.

Make sure to check that gas tank before you enter the club though, so you can stop by the gas station before… it’s safer!

Money bag: Get yourself a little clutch or small bag to carry around the club with you to put your money in. We don’t do the roll of cash on the hip with a rubber band anymore. Upgrade yourself and get a cute little clutch to use! Just remember to hold onto it and don’t leave it around the club. Once you have a grand in that bag, you’ll learn to have it super glued to your hip.

Advice: Save your money! It’s quick money and sometimes we get in the mindset that we can make it right back. No! Stack your money.

You’re making a fuck ton of money and you have the potential to build an amazing life for yourself. Build that saving account so you never have to worry.
